I noticed the dkpsystem.com site was offline for a fair bit of time yesterday (I received servers were "taking too long to respond" timeouts). This morning, I found a phishing email from "Blizzard" in my spam folder, send to the email address I use on dkpsystem.com.

So, what exactly happened yesterday?
Yesterday was down due to a power issue at the data center. Details: https://support.steadfast.net/index.php?_m=news&_a=viewnews&newsid=334&group=default

And I tried to keep people informed via twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/dkpsystem

There was an issue with the failover system pointing to the wrong IP Address (the IP had changed and I didn't notice it), so the failover that would give a helpful "Sorry, we're offline, check status here" servers wasn't online.

As I was not there to fix things, I couldn't change the IP address properly. I could just call the data center to get status updates and post twitter with my phone.

So that's what happened there. All site will be receiving a 5-day extension.

As for the phishing email address, I'm always investigating things like this. We're under constant attack by Chinese IPs, and I'm regularly looking for security holes to fix. I'll scan the logs again tonight to see if I find something, but since you've been around for a long time here, it's hard to say when exactly it might have been leaked.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
