The Forums have had a slight revamp to their aesthetic appeal, as you can clearly see.

However, if you're using the Advanced Layout Options and using your own Custom CSS file, you'll want to add the following rules to your CSS file for the .PostText and .PostInfo rules:

border-style:solid;
border-color:black;
border-width:1px;

Naturally, you can customize this however you feel appropriate.

WTB option to turn off all smiley replacement in the character profile thing....

and an option to turn them off on your post. like a checkbox that will default to checked if the setting in the profile is enabled or something.

You can vote on a name for the feature.
I vote for the "I friggin hate graphical smileys" feature.

Aaaaaaand I want a light blue background to my posts... <--- DIE!!!!

... bloody hell.... : P

Chops, you have to tell us how you do all you magic one of these days. Personally I think you have a team in Asia minor doing your bidding, but that is just my anti-globalization thinking...

Also, How do you add the links to your guild below your profile like under you name and others?

Hmm. I find the content boxes not matching up with the poster info box a little disorienting. The other changes own though.

Which browser do you use? I've made sure that it renders properly with Firefox, IE 6 and 7, Safari, and Opera.

Yeah, I'll add the ability to disable smilies.

As for how I get all this stuff done, as an indicator, I worked a little over 20 hours this weekend alone (saturday and sunday).

IE7 and Firefox.

What I mean is that the two boxes don't have their size synced anymore. They are starting on the same horizontal pixel, but each box's height is independently controlled by the content which I find a little disorienting.

I found it a little easier to read when the poster & content boxes were both identical height.

May just be me though.

Yeah it takes some getting used to.
But I like the minimalist feel.

I actually like it that way as it add separation between posts.

Six Demon BagRefresh This Item
Jack Burton: Hey, what more can a guy ask for?
Egg Shen: Oh, a six-demon bag!
Jack Burton: Terrific, a six-demon bag. Sensational. What's in it, Egg?
Egg Shen: Wind, fire, all that kind of thing!

is VIP status only if you have > 6% posts?

hehe...VIP status is just a decision I make based on regularity of participation, and length of membership. There's no hard standard for it, but at some point, I say "hmm...this person should be a VIP."

The whole VIP thing is REALLY new (less than a month), and is something I added for the same reasons as Blizzard added their VIP status: For the hardcore helpful posters' posts to be recognized, because when scanning a page for answers, if you can quickly identify which posts are typically going to have answers, it overall helps everyone.

So, that said, keep up posting like you do, and it won't be long

Nope.

But you can do that same functionality on your own website (Admin > Ranks)

did you move/rename the "ranks" tool?

did you move/rename the "ranks" tool?

Nope. It's under the "Security" submenu.

Oh, ya know what, I disabled the Ranks capability from the Non-Uber-Admins because of problems it was causing with guild leaders' getting their ranks toasted by people who didn't know what they were doing.

You'll have to talk to whomever has full GM privs.
