Seems like for me things are running a bit slow both here and on my site..

I've brought up other sites like yahoo.. and all came up quickly.. so not thinking it's a network thing...

Agreed. Something is definitely wrong.

hmm....the server isn't having any sort of performance issues itself (as in the processes are being handled regularly), but I see what you're saying. I'll play around and see what's going on.

I will be honest though, for the most part I haven't noticed much for performance issues lately, and the site seems to responding in an appropriate amount of time right now.

Not for me Chops. It took 30+ seconds just to load pages on the dkp site, and now my site isn't loading at all.

Well that's certainly unusual...

I just checked all the servers and they are all being under-utilized right now, so there's plenty of idle time to go around, so maybe the network at the data center is struggling.

How bizzare. I just had a bunch of guildies in vent try it out and they said it loaded right away. Could there be a backbone router down somewhere that we're perhaps unaware of?

How long have you noticed the performance issues? Are your other guildies having the same problems?

It has been going on for me for a couple of hours now.
Yessir, the site is running slow. My guild site is very slow also
I am attaching a screen shot of what the site looks like every few loads. It does it on my guild site too.
Alrighty, I just did a traceroute of your IPs and mine to see if there's perhaps something in common between your routes that isn't in common with mine, and apparently, the route from my server to both of yours has a jump through a common router, which might be the problem, though I can't be sure.

From dkpsystem.com to Jaz's IP, are these three hops:

4 so1-2-2-2488M.scr1.CHI1.gblx.net (67.17.68.165)
5 so2-3-0-10G.scr1.NYC1.gblx.net (67.17.92.70)
6 ge3-1-10G.ar4.NYC1.gblx.net (67.17.104.186)

And from dkpsyste.com to Skor's IP, are these three hops:

4 so1-2-2-2488M.scr1.CHI1.gblx.net (67.17.68.165)
5 so2-3-0-10G.scr1.NYC1.gblx.net (67.17.92.70)
6 ge3-1-10G.ar4.NYC1.gblx.net (67.17.104.186)

Obviously the same routers, and while you both use different ISPs, it's clear they use the same backbone routers.

However, the route from dkpsystem.com to me is this:

1 69.13.0.1 (69.13.0.1)
2 bpr1-so-2-2-0.ChicagoEquinix.savvis.net (208.174.226.41)
3 ber2-ge-4-1.chicagoequinix.savvis.net (208.175.9.133)
4 ber2-tenge-3-1.chicago.savvis.net (204.70.196.25)
5 dcr1-so-4-0-0.Chicago.savvis.net (208.175.10.97)
6 208.175.10.2 (208.175.10.2)
7 ae-32-56.ebr2.Chicago1.Level3.net (4.68.101.190)
8 ae-1-100.ebr2.Chicago1.Level3.net (4.69.132.42)
9 ae-11-11.car1.StLouis1.Level3.net (4.69.132.185)
10 ROADRUNNER.car1.StLouis1.Level3.net (4.79.132.14)
11 pos8-0.milwwirtco-rtr1.wi.rr.com (24.94.160.34)
12 srp1-1.milwwimkin-rtr1.wi.rr.com (24.160.226.102)
13 gig0-2.milwwimkin-ubr1.wi.rr.com (24.160.225.102)

My guess is that that common junction you share might be the cause of your slowdowns because everything is running blazing fast for me.

I just ran a traceroute for you as well, and apparently you also share the same common routers:

4 so1-2-2-2488M.scr1.CHI1.gblx.net (67.17.68.165) 23.885 ms * *
5 * so2-3-0-10G.scr1.NYC1.gblx.net (67.17.92.70) 73.125 ms 74.417 ms
6 * * ge3-1-10G.ar4.NYC1.gblx.net (67.17.104.186) 73.676 ms

Looks like something in chicago or new york is freaking out.

So what can we do? I cant even log into my guild site now. Everything else on the net is working fine.

Honestly, I don't know...which is a lame answer, I know. I just got off the phone with the data center and the guy there doesn't know what the "gblx.net" is or the other router you three go through at "yipes.com", but apparently there's nothing really you CAN do about it except wait for the techs to fix it.

Sorry I don't have a better answer for you guys
