I just NOW signed up for dkpsystem and haven't done the first thing yet. But I noticed that MY profile says I'm guild master. I'm not! Please, can this be changed to a different title?

Can I give admin rights to others also?

Edit: OMG! I'm sure this is a great guild host, but setting it up is way too hard. I can't even find where to add a "Forum" link to the main page.

In the ADMIN panel, you can "Relinquish Your Powers" of the site, and transfer it to another member. You need to have that member signed up and approved for the site though I would imagine.

Also, in ADMIN > BASIC MENU ADMINISTRATION there is a checkbox that if checked will show a link to the forums under the maim menu header.

If I "Relinquish Your Powers" will I not be able to have any control? I'd like to share control with a few but want the title "Guild Master" to go to someone else.

And "Forum" isn't on the list under Basic Menu Administration.

I don't do any kind of coding and had thought a site that was set up specifically to host guild forums would be a little easier than this. And there just isn't enough documentation even for the most basic set up.

The Default Rank 1 is "Guild Master." You can change the labels by going to Admin > Ranks. From there, you can control which ranks have access to which features using the Admin > Feature Access. As for the forums, you must not have checked the box for "Forum System" when you signed up. The forums are an additional $30/year (look for the "Upgrade Service" button at the top of the admin menu). If you have your own forums, you can simply head to Admin > Static Menu Items and Content, and add a new menu option there linking to your existing forums.

Otherwise, if you are using our forums, to modify the forum settings from the admin menu, there will be a section labeled "Thread Tags."

The only other thing I can tell you is that I know very little about coding, other than some basic html I have picked up over the years, and I have managed to generate a fairly innovative and custom site using the tools that dkpsystem provides, some patience, and these forums to ask questions.

Aside from the basic layout you get when you sign up though, yes, it can take some time and effort to get it the way you want it.
