First I want to express my thanks for adding the classic Layout. My officers are much happier now! But since you did this I have run across a problem I don't know how to fix, or possibly I need to something differently.

The officers decided that we wanted to organize our applications instead of having them all lumped into one Thread so that we could look back at applications easier. So we created 4 threads that relate to applications and decided that the apps would be handled in the following ways:

1) New Apps go to the "Pending Applications" Thread for voting and discussion. They stay there until a decision is made.

2) If the app is declined we edit the title to add <Declined> after the name, class and level and then move the entire app to a new Thread we made called "Declined Applications".

3) If the application is approved then we edit the title to add <Member> at the end and move it to a new Thread we created called "Current Members". We will then use this application as a place for officer notes, problems, and other info regarding this member.

4) If someone leaves the guild we edit the title to say <Left/Removed> as applicable post an explanation of why they left and move the app to new Thread we created called "Former Members".

So I created all of the Threads and went through each application individually and edited & moved them to the correct Threads. This is where the first problem came up. In the Classic overview, all of the new threads showed 0 posts (never) as the post count, but if you open the actual thread then you could see all the apps in that Thread. So I thought okay, well...not too big of a deal the officers that use Classic will just have to check those manually for updates.

But then I hit a second bug that is really frustrating and not sure what caused it to happen but a large portion of the apps that I had moved to the correct sorted threads suddenly all went right back to the first thread (Pending Applications) that they were posted to, but a small portion were left into the sorted threads.

So before I go and sort all the apps again and move them to the right thread is it a bug that caused this? Is it possible that I am doing something wrong that caused this? Am I doing this the "hard" way and overlooking a simple and better way to sort apps? Is this going to happen continually after I sort the apps again?

Any advice, suggestions etc are welcomed! Thanks in advance
Interesting find. I'll look more closely at it after Sunday.

It's all in the reflexes.
Since you are on vacation and I had some time I played around with it a bit more to see if I could find out exactly where the problem and what I was doing to cause it to occur.

I found out that the moving problem is somehow related to turning application voting on and off. If you change the voting on/off option after moving them then it can move some (not all and don't know how it picks which ones to move and which to leave alone).

The first time I made the Threads and sorted the apps looking at the forum in classic view would show the number of threads, posts, views but would list "never" for last posted thread and last post info. The app option at that time was set to "private" But if I made them "public" and manually set the rank permissions for viewing then it will shows the correct info for last posted thread and last post info (instead of "never").

I went ahead and set the correct vote on/off settings and the correct public/private settings that we wanted to use and resorted all the apps again to the proper threads and everything looks okay now. I just don't know if we will have problems if we ever change either one of these options in the future. But will keep this in mind before making one of those changes.

Hope this gives you a bit more information about what is going on and if it is working as you intended it to work.
