Anyway we can implement class thread tags..like very very soon? The work around is private thread tags which are not only hard to main tain but people keep missing older posts and such

Anyone with Admin access to your site can do this. Creating Thread Tags is very simple. The issue with Class thread tags is that you don't log into your site with a Character you log in with an account and potentially have multiple characters associated to it. Thus anyone can see threads in a class tag that is created today so it won't work under the current construct if you want them private to a certain group of people.

Chops what about creating a secondary ranking system on the sites where you belong to a sub rank that is designated by your Main Characters Class. Then in the construct of the Thread Tag system system you simple have to define this rank as able to view and post to the tag.

Like my rank is Officer and my sub rank is Warlock. If a thread tag is set to Member and Warlock then anyone that was a member and also a warlock would be able to see it. The sub rank field for the thread tag would have to have an option for General and be checked as a secondary condition. (A) are you the appropriate rank for the tag (B) are you the appropriate subrank for the tag.

Jack Burton: Hey, what more can a guy ask for?
Egg Shen: Oh, a six-demon bag!
Jack Burton: Terrific, a six-demon bag. Sensational. What's in it, Egg?
Egg Shen: Wind, fire, all that kind of thing!
That only works if you can belong to multiple sub ranks..if you have alts that need other tags. And even then you have to go assign people subranks all the time which is more admin work.

Another solution would be to have inherent ranks you automatically belong to by associating characters to your account..so if you have a warlock, paladin, druid associated you belong to the respective groups and can then see any tags specific to those groups.

In that respect then why would it matter if a person can see multiple class tags why not just let them see them all? If you don't care who can see them then they can be created in the system today as I described above. This is how I have had it on my site since day one.

Out of 8 threads they may only need to see 2.

The other way requires a lot of admin, class forums which are just based on your characters are a lot easier to maintain.

The subrank idea or anything which helps you achieve it is fine too as long as you can belong to multiple.
