GuildBank support for WoW 2.3?

GuildBank support for WoW 2.3?

From searching your web site, I see that your guild sites support the "old style" character-as-guildbank import. But does the DKPProfiler Mod support the new 2.3 guild banks? We've got a guild bank with 3 tabs, I've logged in as my guildmaster character and opened my guild bank, all three tabs, the logs, and even my normal bank and typed "/dkpp" after each and still can't seem to get the Guild Bank on our site to update. TIA for your assistance.
It does. The documentation hasn't been updated to reflect that, but it does support the in-game guild banks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I read that thread and don't see any instructions on how to get DKPP to capture the in-game bank inventory. I open the bank in-game and type /dkpp. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Nope. The /dkpp is just a last resort if things aren't being captured. Generally speaking, it does it all transparently. When your data gets uploaded, it should initialize your Guild Bank and import the items found there.

You'll want to check out Admin > Guild Banks, and make sure they're coming in.

If you are trying to verify the content after trying to record the in game data there is 1 of 2 things you need to do.

If you just want to look and see if the file is there and has the guild bank in it you need to do a /script reloadui() to force the game to save the .lua file. Then you would have to go to the wtf folder and find the saved variables file and open it to look and see if the data is there. This method is only recommeded if you know anything about LUA files.

The easiest way is to exit WoW (exiting the game saves the file that is created when you record data). Then do an upload to your site and go the bank and see if it is there.

Chops,
Have you considered putting in a debug command for GRSS and DKPProfiler.

Something like:
/grss debug (returns version information and configuration settings like if snapshots are on or off)
/grss debug dkpsum (list the people in the raid and the total dkp points each has as a general confirmation that the dkp file downloaded from the site is working)
/grss debug snap (list the names and time stamps of the snap shots stored for writing)
/grss debug snap <name> (list the snap shot matching the given name and provide more details like member names in the snapshot)
/grss debug loot (provide a list of loot recieved, who it was given to, and points spent)

/dkpp debug (return version information and configuration settings if any. May also return names of core field caputured like talents, professions, bag...)
/dkpp debug <element> (take an arguement like talent and print out what has been captured for it.)

This might be a simple way for some people to look and see that the mod is capturing data. Of course you could or should print a disclaimer that nothing is saved to the savedvariables file until the user logs out or reloads the UI. It might also be helpful to have debug read from the saved variables file on start up or reload of ui so that you can provide comparison output of what is in the saved variables opposed to memory.

Interesting. I've always planned on some solutions to those (like the ability to review and delete snapshots in-game), but a simple debug or "extended info" command might be a good idea.

I am having a similar (if not the same) problem. We just started to try out the Guild Bank Feature. I checked Admin->Guild Bank (after first trying an unsuccessful update) and the tabs were not listed so I manually added the tabs. I still have no data when I click on Guild Bank-->By character for the guild bank tabs. I do have data for the items in the characters inventory. So some information is getting through.

I have done the following:

1) Made sure that any files associated with the old mod are gone from my system
2) The bank char is tagged as a bank character and associated with my account
3) Gone in game, opened all the characters bags and each bank tab (even typing /dkpp after opening each tab).
4) Logging out and closing WoW completely
5) Allowing the DKP Profiler mod to auto update did not get any information
6) Performed a manual update of the DKPProfile lua file for that character

There is still no information listed for the tabs. Any suggestions or advice on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
