Description:
We imported GRSS snapshots from lsat Thursday and this Sunday, and did everything like we normally do (we even have a written procedure which I sent you a link on).

The item prices/awards are being tracked. However the actual boss kills and DKP awards were not tracked even though they were entered.
When I select the View Previous GRSS Snapshots, the boss kills are not recorded at all.

Can you tell us why an import doing everything normally would record the items and DKP cost for those items, but not the boss kills or the fact that the snapshot was even uploaded?

I don't know if you still have them, but could you upload the GRSS file(s) that you uploaded? (I'm just going to check to make sure the files are there).

Additionally, could you tell me what version of the grss you're running? It should say the version number when you first log into your character.

The person purged the data upon next logon thinking the data uploaded fine like every time before since they saw the items recorded. I will ask them to get the version info.

I've been looking for my version info, though I can't actually find it no matter where I look. Any way you can tell me where to look?

I can say for certain that I've downloaded it several times since patch 2.4 came out so it should have been the most recent version every time.
Chops?

Drokas was the person handling the DKP tracking for that night.

I'm sorry, I forgot to respond to this one.

The version information should display in the chat box when you first log into your character.

My big question is, has this become a recurring event for you? Where the DKP just isn't importing?

Moreover, did the mod actually take the snapshots during the raid (and then seemed to lose the snapshots), or did it just not take snapshots?

I don't know what the version was at the time. It has since been upgraded I believe.

As far as we know it was taking shapshots the whole time. And Drokas remembers putting in the standard DKP awards using our ZeroSum system (which I sent you a link to our instructions on). So as far as we know we did everything correctly.

Since then we have not had any issues. So it was a one time upload occurence, it's just that we lost like 2-3 nights of DKP tracking other than thte loot costs.

So I am adding a step to the instructions that says we need to check to make sure the items and the DKP awards were succesfully recorded before deleting the info. I guess we just took it for granted that it would always work.

I take it there is no record of us uploading anything excet for the items? I couldn't see anything in our upload history for snapshots.

I'm afraid not.

I frankly have no explantion how the mod could take a snapshot but not record it to the file, and unfortunately, without the file itself to debug, I got nothing

If it happens again, I definitely would like to see the file. Perhaps it's worth implementing a more comprehensive snapshot history, such that instead of storing the snapshots individually, it simply archives the entire file. That might not be a bad idea.

You got my vote. Then you could tell us we were:
A. Crazy and we didn't take any snapshots.
B. The file was dorked somehow.
C. We didn't update the mod before trying to upload and that caused and inconsistency.

Having the raw file would always be the ultimate debug scenario.
