I was wondering how to display and RSS feed from another site on the front page of my guild website. When I try to enter the PHP into something like a news post, it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

This is something that's still in the works. Be aware that for security purposes, php-level access is disabled.

As a followup on this one, you could find a javascript RSS feed implementation that would allow you to embed some RSS by posting the javascript code.
