Description:
On October 30, our vent renewed and instead of extending the time on the server for some reason they mounted a new server with using our old DNS name. So far so good, the vent wasn't displaying on our menus, because it was connecting to the old IP. Well now, a week later, they took the old vent server offline and every page of our site has to wait on a vent timeout before it loads.

I went into the menus configuration and tried to remove the vent window, but it appears that something is caching those definitions as well because it will not go away.

HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WILL GO AWAY IF THE DNS CACHE IS FLUSHED. SO PLEASE CYCLE OUR MACHINE OR THE DNS SERVER THAT IS REFERENCED FROM OUR SITE.

If it's loading slowly because it's trying to connect to your server, it's actually being delayed in javascript, which means it's a local thing, rather than our servers.

This means it's hanging while your computer is trying to connect to the vent server to load.

The easy solution is to use our embedded ventrilo option, and disable your custom one (the one provided by your ventrilo host).

You can do this by heading to [b]Admin > Menus > Ventrilo/Teamspeak Server Status[/b Our script is designed to not get held up if your server is slow to respond, or some other error. Instead, our system caches the results with the servers and displays the cache.

To make your site usable, I've put comments around the javascript in your menu.
