When I change my realm in the admin controls from Altar of storms to crushridge it will not update my home page to reflect that change.

Head to Admin > Games > Games, and click "Servers". I realize it's not totally obvious what the "Main Realm/Server" option does, but that only changes the listing on the Guild list on the main DKPsystem.com site. That interface needs some clarification.
