It's a common misconception that Rogues "do it" from the front or even, on rare occasion, laterally. While there was a brief period in the sixties where such things might have been in vogue, these days it's understood that the best position for rogues worldwide is directly behind. Indeed, many roguish feats demand it.
Your best bet here is to head to Admin > Thread Tags and configure each thread tag so that only certain ranks have access to those particular thread tags. If a rank doesn't have access to anything, they won't have access to post or see anything, so it's effectively private. What they'll see is that there IS a forum, but they won't see anything on it.
