I feel your pain our guild has some simlar headachs trying to figure out what days and times work best for people. Our general problem is people don't use the site. Followed by a general I don't care attitude but boy they get upset when I don't bow before them as I hand them their new epic gear.
We pushed hard to make people use the raid availability and after 2 months about half had posted it (some left theirs completely blank) and everyone in the guild was mad over it so we just end it. The officers (14 of us) just post raids and if you can't make it well tough, you don't want to help us help you, so we won't.
