Chops I like what Aldor and Taylia did with their site in tweaking the WoW themed template. I have a suggestion that can possibly build on their start and make it 2 templates.
The idea would be to set the color theme according to faction. The blue set as you have it today with an alliance themed backdrop for alliance guilds with the menu banner and Taylia has done it. For horde guilds you could change the color theme to a maroon or red color and use the Horde banner behind the menus on the left side.
