Hey in the forums on my dkp site, there is no post a thread button.
No one in the guild can post threads, the only threads that go through are the applications to the guild. And those only go through because there is an Apply button.
If there is something i can do to fix that or if an admin can fix it, that would be most appreciated.

If you head to your admin menu, and look at the top, you'll see that the "Forums" package was not purchased for your site.

So, the forums DO exist on the site, unless the "Forum" package is added, the forums are limited to Applications and News Post Comments.

If you click the "Upgrade Service" located at the top of your Admin menu, you'll be able to buy the Forum package.

I should add that typically, the "Forum" link doesn't show on the menu unless the forum package is purchased, however, it looks like someone (one of your admins) add the link manually, just pointing to "forum.php", which would add to the confusion.
