I'm wanting to create a very minimalistic site. So I'm trying to remove some of the fluff, is there a way to remove the top logo bar.

I'm no good at editing CSS, so a brief explanation on how to do it would help.

Are you looking to remove your logo too? If not, that is very easy.

With the basic layout, you can head to Admin > Layout > Logo and Top Bar

Then uncheck the boxes all related to the topbar. Then to center the logo, select the "Topbar configuration" that looks like the logo above the topbar.

If you don't want a logo to show up, you'll also want to delete the logo itself from that page.
