Jack Burton: Hey, what more can a guy ask for?
Egg Shen: Oh, a six-demon bag!
Jack Burton: Terrific, a six-demon bag. Sensational. What's in it, Egg?
Egg Shen: Wind, fire, all that kind of thing!
Anything else new I can go look for?

From "Recent Changes"

4/26/2007
* Application threads now create Polls associated with them.
* News posts now have commenting built into them, which uses the forums, yet is still available for those who haven't bought the forum packages (similarly to applications).
* The GroupCalendar importer has been modified to properly account for Daylight Saving Time.
* The GroupCalendar importer will now associate events with an Event Category, or create a new Event Category if necessary.
* Event Categories can now be deleted
* Loot and Bosses for all the Outland zones has been added (Excluding Black Temple and Mount Hyjal as these are not yet live)
* The GuildBank mod will now capture Arena Information and more pvp information
* The GuildRaidSnapShot mod has been modified for the Karazhan Wizard of Oz event to only snapshot when the Crone dies, rather than all the bosses.
* The GuildRaidSnapShot mod has been modified so Badge of JusticeRefresh This Item will no longer trigger the item received popup.
* All bosses have been added to the GuildRaidSnapShot mod, and the mod is code-ready for the 2.1 patch.

Is there going to be a way to turn this off? Our guild doesn't do votes on applicants and this is making me go buggy with people spamming me with questions asking if our guild policies are changing and the guild leader asking me why I am making changes to how we do apps without consulting him or the app officer!

didn't find any option yet (been looking for it in admin menu)

So umm I created a test application to look at the polling system and its affect on the application. While I understand it creates a new section to the App and a question from people I think the initial answer is. Ignore it until told anything else.

That said I agree that the option to turn the poll feature on or off should exist. I also would like the ability to personalize the poll question used. This should probably be on the Application Settings page.

Yah it's really annoying atm - we keep our apps public so that people can come post comments but now we're getting people spamming votes on our apps and it's silly to have the general public able to vote on an app.
A vote according to rank would be good too. Our guild every member can have a say so it doesn't affect us but I know some guilds are officer only.

Also the general public won't see the app's if you make them non public.

Vote by Rank is really already there. You just make the app only accessible to the ranks that can vote. The problem is you can't let the entire guild see it and only let officers and above vote.

Thats what i mean. Some would like the entire guild to see an app but not have em vote. Personally, I like to have the entire guild have a say on apps, never know it may be an asshole they grouped with at one time

Not currently but it has been asked in a couple of other threads and I believe chops is looking at it.

Saud is correct. I'll be adding disabling very soon.

We already did voting. The app was open to everyone so the app'ing member could still see their app. We also had another thread called 'Internal Application Review' where we would copy the app. We would then put a poll in the 'Internal Application Review' and it was only viewable by the officers. Wish there was a way where an app would post to 'Application' thread and auto copy to 'Internal Application Review' thread with a poll where it was only viewable and voted on by the officers
