Description:
When I try to go live with an edited News/Home Layout, the changes do not apply. Also, is there any way to delete unwanted layouts in the drop-down menu?

The final step is to head to Admin > General Settings > News, then choose the new layout from the list at the top. I know it seems a little odd, but that's how it currently works.
