Is it possible with my site to have the forum link open in a seperate window without the side panels? If so how would I go about doing it.

At current, no. Why would you want to remove the side menus? Are you running a very low resolution or something?

I have some people that only want to see the forums. Plus some people with bandwidth and resolution issues.

Edit your CSS (Admin > Layout > CSS Editor), and at the top, in the body { ... } definition, remove "background-attachment:fixed;"
