having a rank issue not sure how to get around it looking for suggestions

DKP is going to be managed by a few people to be sure data isnt lost or whatever so they will need acess to the dkp menu to input data if there is a problem

problem is- two people are members and two people are officers at this time im unsure how to rank so that all 4 get the access to the dkp menu but that 2 do not get access to the officer boards. i cant really change the rank of the 2 nonofficers. not my call.

suggestions?

Create two ranks, One will be with officer priv and DKP admin privs. The second one will be member priv with DKP admin privs.

Guild Officer - DKP Admin
Guild Member - DKP Admin


Just a side note, be careful with having members handle any aspect of DKP. It can cause issues with other members because those fussing with DKP are just members and not leadership structure. Could see some very bad problems if there were ever an error or judgment call.

if i create the two ranks how do i place them in the rank list? because it seems to say the lower the rank # the more access to things those ranks have.

would i do

Officer
DKP Member

or does that part matter?

yah, well i honestly think the two non-officers are supposed to just be backups incase something goes wrong but i hear ya.

Not sure of your structure, but I would do the following.

Super-Admin
Site Admin
Guild Leader
Guild Officer - DKP Officer
Guild Officer
Guild Member - DKP Officer
Guild Member
Non-Member

This should keep your priv's set so that noone will be applied to anything they shouldn't be. You might have a rarity here and there, but I doubt it.

What you could do is this:

Make a separate "Member - DKP" rank. That will go between Member and Officer, and then in Feature Access, assign DKP admin privileges for that rank.

The unfortunate thing, as far as I can tell by your settings, is that all of the officers will have access to DKP.
