I'm a new subscriber just building a website for my guild <Bloodline> on Illidan and I'm curious to know what the first screen is called when someone visits your site and it just shows a background picture with maybe your guild's name on it then a <continue to site>

If there are any templates around for one of those please let me know

That's called the Splash screen. You can play around with it from your admin menu at Admin > Layout > Splash Screen.

The file to upload is expected to be an HTML file, but conveniently, that particular HTML file can be simple (as in only a few lines).

To see example Splash pages, when you go to a splash page (like http://www.dkpsystem.com ), right click on the page and click "View Source" or "View Page Source" and that will let you see the code used.

PS. I see you also have one of those blasphemous signatures! you hurt me! You cut me deep!

Haha thanks a ton. Sorry I've had this Sig forever >< Is there a place I can go to find a template or easy to build splash page?
Btw I recently signed up to use dkpsystem.com and I love it. I'm a novice to the whole website thing but our guild is loving it so far.

Before you hurt poor Chops anymore more then you already have, I suggest heading over to
http://www.dkpsigs.com/

That's another of his sites and it plays well with armory on auto-downloading your stats. You can make a similar, but BETTER sig


As far as the splash page, easiest thing to do would be to just copy the source code from the splash page here at www.dkpsystem.com like Chops suggested looking at, and edit it for your own use. Not that I suggest stealing other people's code.....

Honestly, I really don't have a problem with the other sig generator. I was just giving you a hard time. Competition is a good thing.
