I'm one of three admin for our web site and also the GM for guild. Our admins have been working to get our site updates done and wanted to add a feature to our site but don't have PHP file acess. With doing so we have found a solution that could be a good upgrade to the features list for admins to use. We are trying to create a Q&A posting area for our guild rules and regulations. Wanting it to work much like the online applications. This will give us the ability to make shure our members of guild are up to date on curant guild rules and regs, thuse being a self pruning procese for guild. Members that fill it out would be listed else where, maybe another panal or some thing to that sort. Members that refuse to fill it out and never know guid rules would be removed from guild. Simply enough a feature to make shure members read rules and regs, allowing guild to remover trash members. Also with this is the DKP mod offered to us, our guild has chose not to use dkp at all, but we would like to be able to use the feature to record loot from killed raid bosses. Some thing that would let us have a spot to show loot and who got it for the past 7 days. Then after 7 days it goes to a loot vault as to still keep a record of it but leting it only show most recent drops (7 days) on the main panal for site. Vault would have a tab to take you to the it so to not cluter the main page. Both of these ideas could help to let guilds manage and maintain moral, buy cleaning trash from guild and keeping a currant 7 day loot progression tabe active. Both these ideas would have room for your (Chops)own special improvements and select fine tuning but I feel they would become very important features to almost every guild out there. If you decide to intergrate these ideas and would like a little help on what we are looking for these fatures to do, plz feel free to send me a email and i will contact you. Maybe even use Ventrilo to give you a guild veiw point with what we are looking for these functions to do and how we wish them to proform. -- WE THE WILLING Lead by the unknowing. One of the features that are currently in development, which aims to solve close to the same problem you're trying to solve, is the ability to flag documents as "must-read", which would trigger an Alert for the users who must read that document, and there would be a report for tracking who has/hasn't read it. http://www.dkpsystem.com/ticket.php?ticketid=14As for the DKP Mod, it CAN do this, however, it requires the Loot systems upgrade on your site (so if you don't have it, you'll have to get it added on). -- It's all in the reflexes.

I will be glad to see this feature added but what good will it do if members just have to check a box? i was looking for a featur with what you call flaging it to be required reading for guild. Then after reading it they would be sent to a page to fill out a Q&A on what they just read to make shure that they did read it and not just check the box. To further this I think that we need a page much like the application page to be able to list the questions that we wish to ask and they have to type or check the correct answer. This will at least make then have to skim the required reading to find the answer, doing so they might just learn a little some thing. Also give use the ability to reveiw these questionnaires instead of just haveing them marked off. Or make them have to have a 100% correct to be marked off or get a new (different) questionnaire containing a new set of questins to answer. -- WE THE WILLING Lead by the unknowing. I will be glad to see this feature added but what good will it do if members just have to check a box I see, you're looking for a quiz functionality, more than just "I saw this page." Unfortunately, right now, the quiz functionality isn't available, however, with custom fields for characters and accounts planned, you might be able to utilize it as a bit of a hack to accomplish what you're looking for. -- It's all in the reflexes.

I've never used it before, but "I know a guy who knows a guy" who made this site: http://www.pollmonkey.comThey have the ability to make quizzes, though I'm not sure how effective they would be for you. It's worth a shot anyway. -- It's all in the reflexes.

I can tell you that on my application to the guild I put a question on whether or not they read the charter. If I make a forum post that requires everybody read and understand it I make them reply with /signed. Do I know that they have read all this stuff? No. Will it be an issue in the future? No. They have indicated to me that they have read and understand what I have written so there can be no dispute later because they agreed and I have proof of that in thier signature reply. We should not be made to be babysitters in the guild business it's up to the members to take an active role in knowing what is going on in thier guild. Am I too strict? Maybe but I don't have guild drama either. Just my 2 cents.
