Interesting. This is the first time that's been requested.

The forums are currently in the middle of a rewrite, but what we can do with the forum rewrite is add a security option to limit attachments by rank.

Why might I ask do you wish to disable the file uploads?

Mostly security concerns, about possible malicious content, would like to limit it to officers or higher rank.

Also, another site that I help admin (but didn't set up, http://penumbra.dkpsystem.com/forum.php), user's don't have the option of attaching files when they post, so I figured it was an option that could be turned off somewhere.

It's a matter of what you purchase from dkpsystem - the upload files part is an independent extra as far as I remember.

I see, I should've only gotten the Base System w/ the Forum System, and not added the Forum Uploads. Any chance of getting that feature turned off, and refunded, since we still have 27 days left in the trial period? If not, no big deal, the site does what we want, just wouldn't have gotten that if I were doing it over ...
