Haha I got an out of the blue email from Chops cuz I hadn't been around a while.

Thought I'd stop by and wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Great New Year.

I've been away from WoW for about 2 months now. Patiently (ok maybe thats an exageration) awaiting the next big game. Sadly War Hammer and Conan weren't it. If anyone has any leads other than SC or Diablo please let me know. I'm dying to see if the rumors of White Wolf or KOTOR 3 going MMO are true.

As far as I can tell, the next big game that many are excited for is Darkfall, which, if I remember correctly, comes out in January.

Why yes. How on earth has Google failed me? How long has this site been up? I searched as recently as a few weeks ago. Yet once I search today I find links to this page as well.

I will keep my eye on this one. Hopefully they don't jack it up like SOE did trying to work with Lucas Arts putting Jedi into Galaxies. Though I never played KOTOR I wanted to. The whole "time before the Galactic Republic" has intrigued me for a long time in the Extended Universe of Star Wars. Yes I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan.

Hmm. Sounds like some of the things I've heard before.
The old you don't have to be hardcore to succeed line.
And the one thing that will probably steer me away from it is the Zoneless and Factionless PVP. Outside of the constant updates and round the clock nerfs I saw in the first month of AoC this was probably the main thing that pushed my interest away. I couldn't stand trying to do something and have some group of 10 level higher players camping the area just feeding on the week trying to level.

I'll have to watch and see how it develops. This is another one I've heard nothing about like AoC when it released.

Good thing about this particular timeline is that it revolves around jedi/sith, so there shouldn't be any horrible balancing issues like we saw in SWG. The Old Republic timeline is simply awesome, and the KOTOR games do a great job immersing you in that world. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes the video game style (kind of a limited-RPG/action style), doubly so for fans of Star Wars in general.

As far as how long the site has been up, I believe the official announcement was made around October 22, 2008.
