Sorry about another question on this, but I was wondering if I click on general in the pic attached, shouldn't it only come up with the tags listed?

Its not on my site, so I would like it if it did.

Since I have a lot of tags grouped together under the General link, I was hoping that if I just clicked on the General link it would show me all the threads that are associated with subsequent grouped thread tags too.

Clicking on General link would show me DPS, Guild Policies, etc. So I wouldn't have to have an advanced filter.

Just show me all in General Category, or all in Strategies, etc.

It's actually SUPPOSED to do that. Looks like you found a bug.
