I would also love to see some kind of mail function. I'm sure it's quite extensive to add, but I know that the same scenerio that was listed above has happened before with the current way. The GM approves the application or rejects it by accident and...that's it. There is no way to retract the mistake and a seperate email has to be sent with an "opps, my bad" kind of apology.
Obviously, in-site mailing would also be helpful so as not to have a million private thread tags going on as well--considering that some people have no idea what they are agreeing to when they do or don't click on the pop up window box to approve the thread they can view.
I mean you, me, and the tree know how it should work, but there are always individuals that don't seem to grasp a concept.
Anyway, just wanted to shout out about the mailing option also, since it's already been suggested.
