is there a way to get menu items to display in the main content area?

specificly, I'm wanting to use say.. the stats menu item, but instead of it displaying left or right, I'd like to be able to create a custom (static menu item page) that then can be clicked on to display the stats in the same pain that say News. or Forums show up in...

I tried to see if it would parse it as it stands and found that it didn't.. but this might be a nice option .. where if I create a static menu option with say the calendar call from the advance layout .. it would be then a link to display the calendar in the center pain.. for example:
<!-- System:Calendar -->

why??.. well I'm not a huge fan of tons of information all being displayed at once, as I think it can detour from the information someone may be trying to get across

Yea, pretty sure this isn't possible yet. I asked about putting the DkP menu in a dynamic page ... basically the setup for dynamic pages cannot parse data at this point ... if you follow that. It would likely require a rewrite of the dynamic page content, so if he decides to put it in, it might be a little while before he can.

The menues was easy to work around as I was able to jsut link everything, but the stats and such I don't think will be possible.

This is sort of related to your question, but a little more generic. I've scoured through forum posts to see if I could find an appropriate header, but i have a FT job too, so sorry if this isn't the right place... here goes:

Is is possible to NOT have news.php be the default content displayed? Like, could I have a uploaded html doc display? Or say, the guild "splash" page? Anything other than the news.php as default?

(if this has been answered somewhere lemme know where please!)
