We had an item drop named Rune Edge. Apparently there are two different items by this name and the one that shows on our Items Received is the incorrect version.
The item should reflect the Ulduar version rather than the level 57 green item.
Yes this is a problem i've encountered as well. For every ToC item there is a heroic version with the exact same name, but better stats. The search function in the [item] tag doesn't seem to work for the heroic versions. [item]item name;;item stat[/item)
Yeah, the search criteria in the item links is indeed currently broken. It needs to be fixed to accommodate this. Previously, it was mostly just an inconvenience to have multiple items with the same name, but with this whole ToC issue where every item is duplicated in name, it's proving to be a real headache.
just a thought, but since you pull all your data from wowhead, you could use wowhead's item id to distinguish items. Even the new ToC items have unique id's for each item version.
