Hi Chops et al,
I'm wondering if any more progress has been made on this front. Our guild is in the process of moving from vent to mumble and the viewer would be nice to have.
Sabrenix/Mumbledog supports fetching channel and user data via Mumble's very own supported standard, the Channel Viewer Protocol (
http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Channel_Viewer_Protocol ). There are no keys or passwords required; the data is returned in a fairly simple format. You can see an example:
http://dallas.mumble.sabrienix.com/mumble.php?port=34861After some further hacking, I did manage to get a basic viewer up via javascript, but it's going to take some refinement to 'pretty up.'
WRT the interest in a dkpsystem hosted mumble server... Sure, as long as it is reliable. We're dumping vent because we constantly had to figure out who had a server we could use as a backup when ours went down on Branzone.
Thanks.
