The Advanced Layout Options have had a number of awesome changes:

1) The ability to generate your layout from your current settings. This is done with a link on the page labeled "Generate Layout and Menu Files"
2) Full Archiving of all versions. Every version ever uploaded to either is now archived. You can view these files by clicking the (History) link next the Menu and the Layout File links.
3) Added a few more descriptions to that page.

I'd still enjoy more templating especially in the areas of news and forums <3.
