I just stumbled on this today.
What's this for? Would this let me do this:
Create a DPS class and associate rogues/hunters/mages to it and say I wanted 19 DPS in a raid instead of 5 mages 7 rogues and 7 hunters?

You COULD, but I don't think it's a good idea. I'll be adding class "classifications" in the future to allow you to make subgroups like that.
