I want to imbed specific pictures from my gallery in news posts. How do I get a file link to the picture file rather than the url link?

Couple thing you want to do. First open the image in the gallery. Then right click on it and hit view image. This will open it in another window and give you the actual url to the path of the pic.

Do to size and possible resizing issues I would also suggest this. for the actual image that you use to display right click the thumbnail in the image gallery and hit view image. Use this image as the one you display on the news page.

Now when you make the news post past in your url for the thumbnail and then highlight is and in the quick edit bar click the "Insert a link to another website" option. At the "Enter URL" popup enter the URL of the actual full size image from the gallery. Example belowthe thread. The same code will work in a News post.

I don't see a quick edit bar when I open the news post, just the BBCode Guide Link. Any ideas on how I dislpay the quick edit bar here? It shows up elsewhere just not on the news page.

Playing around and getting the pic source link I have gotten the result in news as follows:

However the thumbnails are not clickable and I'm not sure why.

My bad thats a feature update that is still in the works to add the quick edit bar to news and guides.

Can you post here what you tried to do in your news post and I'll look and see if I see what could be happening.

I did some things to make this not rendor but show text so hopefully you still get the idea.
